An international workshop examining successful approaches to 'cities, science and sustainability' will be held at TWAS's headquarters in Trieste, Italy, from 20 to 22 September 2007.

TWAS's International Programme for Higher Education and Research (IPHER) provides over 250 fellowships

The International Programme for Higher Education and Research (IPHER) provides over 250 fellowships tenable in developing countries such as Brazil, China, India and Pakistan for scientists from developing countries. Fellowships, for various lengths of time, are available for postgraduate, postdoctoral and advanced research. Brief details of each programme are provided here. State of Science and Technology in Pakistan - Main Topic at TWAS 18th General Meeting

Trieste, Italy. The 18th General Meeting of TWAS - The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World - will take place 13-14 November in Trieste, Italy. More than 180 scientists from 50 countries are expected to attend.

The Science Education Prize will be awarded every three years by TWAS ROLAC to a scientist who has made significant contributions to Science Education in all levels.
