| Biography | | Dr. Hoenigsberg is
Professor of Genetics and Evolution, Director of Genetics and Evolution at the
Univ. Manuela Beitrán,
Bogotá, Colombia and Editor of Evolución Biológica. He was educated at Indiana Univ., Bloomington, the
Univ. of Texas, Austin, the Univ. of Milan, Italy, and became a Research Fellow
of the Italian Atomic Energy Commission. He has been a Lecturer in Genetics and
Evolution Theory in 10 countries. He has been awarded the Medal, “100 Years of
the Bank of Colombia” and Gold Medal, “The Great Thinker”, Univ. Metropolitana de Barranquilla,
Colombia. He is a Member
of the New York Academy of Sciences,
the Colombian Academy of Sciences, the Latin American Academy of Sciences,
Hamdard Society, Linnean Society, International Union of Biological Scientists
and is President of the Ibero American Association for Studies of Biological
Evolution. |
