| Biography | | Dr. Rapoport studied
Biology at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata and obtained his Doctorate in
1956. He is currently Professor Emeritus in the Department of Ecology at the
Universidad Nacional del Comahue, Bariloche and Research Scientist
(Investigador Superior) at the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Cientificas
y Tecnicas. His previous positions include: President of the Asociación
Argentina de Ecología; Full Professor at the Universidad Nacional del Sur,
Bahia Blanca, Argentina; Director of the Institute of Soil Science &
Hydrology; and Professor at Universidad Central de Venezuela, La Fundación
Bariloche, and the Instituto de Ecología, Mexico. He was awarded the Premio
Fundación Bunge y Born. His membership includes: Academy of Zoology of India;
Linnean Society of London; Ecological Society of America; and the Asociación
Argentina de Ecología. |
