| Biography | | Dr. Castellanos Serra
was educated at the University of Havana, Faculty of Chemistry and the
University of Paris XI (Paris Sud), Faculty of Chemistry, where she obtained
her Doctorate (Sciences) in 1978. She is currently Head of the Proteomics
Laboratory in the Division of Physical Chemistry, Center for Genetic
Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB), Havana and Senior Professor in the
Faculty of Chemical Engineering and the Faculty of Chemistry at the University
of Havana. She was previously: Professor in the Department of Organic
Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Havana form 1971-81;
Editor-in-Chief of the Journal "Biotecnologia Aplicada" from 1984-94.
Her awards include: National Award, Academy of Sciences; National Award in
Sciences, Orden Carlos J. Finlay; National Forum on Sciences and Technology
Award, Sophia Kowalewskaya Award (USA). |
