Biography
Armando Gomez-Puyou was educated at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) where he obtained his MD in 1961 and PhD in Biochemistry in 1977. He is currently Professor at the Centro Fisiología Celular, UNAM. He was previously: Guggenheim Fellow at Johns Hopkins Medical School in 1979. His membership includes: Mexican Society of Biochemistry; Founding Member of the Latin American Academy of Sciences; Corresponding Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences; and Emeritus Researcher at UNAM in 1991.
