| Biography | | Dr. de la Peña Auerbach was educated at the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico where he became an Electronics Engineer in 1953. He obtained his PhD in Physics at the State University in Moscow in 1964. He is currently: Emeritus Professor at the Institute of Physics, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM); Emeritus Researcher at the National Research System; and Senior Researcher and Full Professor at UNAM. He has been Visiting Professor at several universities. He has published more than 100 research papers, 10 books and over 80 papers on science-related subjects. He was awarded the Academic Medal, Mexican Physical Society, the UNAM Prize of Research in Exact Sciences and the Presidential Award in Science and Arts. He is a Fellow of the Mexican Academy of Sciences. |
