| Biography | | Pablo Rudomin is
Emeritus Investigator at the National System of Investigators and Center
Advanced Studies at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), Mexico City and
Member of the Colegio Nacional. He is a respected neuroscientist who has
promoted scientific development in Mexico and Latin America. His studies on
presynaptic inhibition in the spinal cord have won him international
recognition and he has greatly contributed to the promotion of the public
understanding of science. His awards include: Award from the Mexican Academy of
Sciences; National Science Prize, Government of Mexico; Principe de Asturias
Prize, Spain; Luis Elizondo Prize, Mexico; Lazaro Cadenas Medal and Prize, IPN;
and the Krieg Achievement Award, Ramon y Cajal International Association. He is
a Member of the National Academy of Sciences, Mexico. |
