| Biography | | Dr. Dos Reis is Full
Professor of Immunology at the Carlos Chagas Filho Institute of Biophysics,
Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He obtained his PhD degree at the
Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and pursued post-doctoral training at the
National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, USA. His scientific interest is the
immunology of infectious and inflammatory diseases. He has been a member of the
Steering Committee on Chagas disease (WHO, Geneva), an International Fellow of
the Guggenheim Foundation, a Howard Hughes International Research Scholar, and
President of the Brazilian Society of Immunology. He has received the Brazilian
Presidential Medal of Science. He is a full member of the Brazilian Academy of
Sciences. |
