| Biography | | Dr. Cordaro is currently Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He was previously: Instructor, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor from 1976-1995 at the University of São Paulo and President of the Brazilian Mathematical Society from 1997-2001. He is a mathematician, who is a leader in the theory of partial differential equations. His work especially elucidated the geometry and analysis of systems of partial differential equations. He has been awarded the Comendador da Ordem Nacional do Mérito Cientifico by the President of Brazil in 2002. He is a Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. |
