| Biography | | ALVAREZ DIAZ, Lilliam M. (Cuba). b.25-12-1949. PhD, Director of Sciences, Ministry of Sciences, Technology and Environment, Havana, Cuba. Alvarez Diaz studies non-linear partial differential equations from the numerical point of view. Her main contributions include the study of equations having soliton type solutions, the use of semi-discrete methods or interpolatory wavelets and the consideration of applications to conservation laws in fluid dynamics. She is a member of the Cuban Academy of Sciences and the Caribbean Academy of Sciences. |
