| Biography | | Dr. Pignotti was
educated at the University of Buenos Aires (BSc and PhD, 1964). He is Head of
the Department of Physics at the Centre for Industrial Research, Fundación para
el Desarrollo Tecnológico, TECHINT and Member of the Board of Directors of the
World Federation of Nondestructive Evaluation Centers at Iowa State University.
He was previously: Lecturer at the University of Buenos Aires from 1964-66;
Postdoctoral Fellow at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory from 1966-68 and UC
Santa Barbara from 1968-69; Assistant and Associate Professor at the University
of Washington from 1969-72; and Professor of Physics at the University of
Buenos Aires from 1971-74. He was awarded the Konex Foundation Award in S&T
(Physics) in 1993. He is a Member of the National Academy of Exact, Physical
and Natural Sciences, Argentina. |
