| Biography | | Dr. Wilson obtained
his PhD (Bristol, UK) in 1964. He is Coordinator for the Continuing Education
Programme in Agricultural Technology (CEPAT) at the University of the West
Indies (UWI) in St. Augustine, Trinidad. His previous positions include:
Research Scientist, Central Experiment Station, Ministry of Agriculture,
Trinidad; Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Plant Biochemistry, Faculty of
Agriculture, UWI; Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, UWI; Professor of Crop Science,
UWI; and FAO Sub-Regional Representative for the Caribbean in Bridgetown,
Barbados. His honours include the Scroll of Appreciation for Service as a
Member (1983-90) and Chairman (1989-90) of the Board of Trustees of the
International Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Ibadan, Nigeria. He was also
awarded the TWNSO Prize in Agriculture in 1990. |
